Meet Our Wonderful Instructors & Healing Arts Service Providers!
Experienced. Well-Trained. Professional. Dedicated. Caring. Holistic.
The teachers at Dream Yoga are the best! They have training in a variety of yoga, meditation, and other holistic disciplines that are proven to enhance health, well-being and personal transformation. All have made their teaching and services central to their lives. For us, teaching and Life Coaching …is simply sharing what we love and what we know works.
Most of Dream’s yoga teachers are trained in the tradition of Kripalu Yoga—a yoga practice that teaches the basic mechanics of yoga postures and breath…while encouraging inner focus, feeling, and mind-body awareness. Kripalu Yoga is often referred to as "the yoga of life." Many also have additional training and experience in using "yoga as medicine" or "therapeutic yoga."
It is our pleasure and blessing to serve you.

Yoga has also helped her overcome physical challenges—including arthritis, pleurisy, a painfully swayed back, and a torn meniscus. Even more, yoga has strengthened Luann's love and sense of awe. Her goal as a yoga teacher and therapist is to inspire her students to embrace yoga as a tool to help them become healthier. She wants to break down the perceived barriers people have to doing yoga...so everyone--despite limitations--can practice and receive its many benefits. Over the past decade, she has experienced firsthand how yoga can be a vital component in balancing the everyday pressures, work stresses and activities of a busy and fulfilling life. With the dream of extending these benefits to others, Lauren completed her 200-hour yoga teaching training under Kripalu Master Teacher Jovinna Chan. She completed her 300-Hour Kripalu Teacher Certification with a special focus on Guiding Meditation for Transformational Yoga; Instructing Yoga for Special Populations; and Leading Kripalu Vinyasa, Advanced Asana and Pranayama.

Maria Patricia Diaz
Certifications: MS, KYT-200 (Kripalu Yoga Teacher), RYT-200® (Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance), and Health Supportive Chef from The Natural Gourmet Institute
Professional Affiliations: National Yoga Alliance, Kripalu Yoga and Ayurveda Association (KYAA), Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Association of Talent Development (ATD)
Provides: Yoga Basics and meditation instruction for group classes and private clients. Life and professional/executive coaching.
Patricia’s yoga journey began in 1989 when she was diagnosed with stage four terminal cancer. During the most difficult time in her life, and with the help of friends, family and life mentors, she turned to yoga, plant-based diets, and other wellness techniques to manage her crisis and then gently restore her health after cancer treatments.
The lessons Patricia learned and years of yoga practice led to an enthusiasm for well-being, a search for a depth of knowledge, and provided a compass for her life and career. In 2019, motivated by a desire to start sharing this knowledge with others, she completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Program at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. It also led her to pursue training in the plant-based chef program at the Natural Gourmet Institute in New York City.
Patricia’s teaching style reflects the influence of gurus and teachers that have come into her life. She is passionate about teaching the foundations of yoga to beginners and all ... partly because she spent many years working on the basics, but also because she believes that anyone – no matter the physical challenge – can practice yoga. She loves to help others connect with their inner wellness coach, and she believes that a genuine practice starts with a strong foundation honoring the principles of ‘ahimsa’ – first do no harm.
Patricia is also a writer, health-supportive chef, and a human resources expert. Visit her website and “Colorful Ever After” blog about her lessons learned after cancer at www.mpatriciadiaz.com.

Kittie believes that yoga should be accessible to every person regardless of ability and strives to offer her students a safe and welcoming environment. She became a teacher so she could share with others the physical, mental and emotional benefits she found in her practice of Yoga. She is a lifelong student of yoga and continues her studies so she can offer as much as possible to her students.
Kittie began practicing yoga in 2003 to improve her health, but quickly learned there was more to yoga than asana and began reading articles to learn more. More importantly, she realized that there seemed to be more people like her in class, regular folks with a few physical issues…maybe not as flexible as they’d like. She also realized many people had the wrong impression about yoga, thinking only in terms of what they saw on magazine covers. That was when the seed was planted in her to share her personal experience of yoga – that it could be accessible to anyone, and that the benefits extended beyond the physical to encompass the mind and spirit.
Nearly from the beginning of her yoga teaching career in 2012, she wanted to learn more and increased her knowledge through additional trainings in Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Kripalu Yoga, Yoga for Cancer, Yoga for Trauma, Dynamic Gentle Yoga, and Integrative Yoga for Seniors. Kittie is excited to teach the Yoga for Creaky People class at Dream, as she has experience in working with older students and students with physical limitations. Students come to her classes because they know she will take care of them and keep them safe.

Anita is passionate about teaching students students of all levels and abilities, with a special interest in guiding “Silver Warriors” – yoga students in their wisdom years. Inspired by her own Silver Warrior journey to retain strength, flexibility and balance as she ages and helping her parents through their trials and tribulations of aging, she is sensitive to the needs of students who, perhaps, have become “creaky” with age or wear-and-tear by physical exercise or life events. She skillfully offers students modifications to poses to help them find their optimal pose expression. Her yoga classes weave yoga postures (asanas) with yoga philosophy and themes that apply to modern living. Anita’s classes also incorporate therapeutic fascial release techniques to help your body slide and glide as it was designed to do and energy medicine practices that re-pattern energy imbalances that impede optimal health and well-being.
Anita loves sharing the knowledge she has gained in her studies with Dream yoga students, which she has done since 2013. She has been practicing yoga since 1999 and teaching since 2011. Anita teaches an alignment-based, heart-oriented yoga style that includes a spiritual dimension for a practice designed to safely open the body, mind, heart and spirit. Her 200-hour yoga teacher training was in the Anusara® tradition. She subsequently completed a 500-hour course of study in Body Balance Yoga®, and a 300-hour advanced teacher training program in the Ashaya Yoga® method. She began her studies of the energetic body with Anodea Judith and became a Certified Sacred Centers Healer in 2020. Intrigued by the subtle body’s energetic systems, Anita went on to study Eden Energy Medicine and she is in her third year of studies.
This winter, in classes, Anita will focus on feet as the means to your quality of life, building strength so you can fend off the loss of muscle mass that comes with aging, and balance to withstand the challenges of daily life. Into that mix, she’ll sprinkle energy medicine techniques to empower you to achieve your highest levels of health and well-being.

Provides: Meditation Instruction, MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction), Tai-Chi, EFT (Emotional Freedom - Tapping), and Personal Stress Management Coaching
Jon Waterman began practicing yoga and meditation while teaching the martial arts in the early 70s. Since then, he has studied extensively with teachers from around the world with a concentration, since 1994, on Buddhist insight meditation. Over the past two decades, he has strengthened his personal practice by attending over 100 retreats and workshops. The majority of these being seven to thirty-day, silent, residential retreat settings.
His meditation classes, workshops and retreats focus on reducing stress and strengthening continuity of present moment awareness by synthesizing mindful movement, various meditation techniques and insight dialogue within a relaxed environment. He is one of the founding directors of the Insight Meditation Community of Washington (IMCW) and has been a member of that organization’s Teacher’s Council since its inception.
In 2007, Jon found a consortium of instructors and students of the internal arts known as the Peaceable Dragon and rejuvenated his practice of the Yang style of tai chi. The moderate and easy flowing method of this style makes it safe and easy to learn, a joy to practice, and one of the most popular of all tai chi styles.
Jon is fortunate to be able to dedicate his career to this work. His courses are well-received in high school, hospital, prison, business and medical research environments. He enjoys a successful personal coaching practice and is a founding partner of Mind-Body Health Associates, a group dedicated to bringing stress reduction programs into the community and workplace.
